Secret Message is a free, easy-to-use secure text steganography app that lets you hide messages inside plain text and send them safely through e-mail, social networks, or IM. Type a distraction Plain Message, embed your real Secret Message, and share it without drawing attention.
Your combined message is exported as a PNG image file, perfect for sending hidden messages online. When viewed in any image viewer, the PNG shows only the Plain Message—yet when opened in this app, the Secret Message appears instantly by hovering over “See Secret.”
Tested across multiple message types, Secret Message works reliably as a lightweight proof of concept. While it doesn’t include advanced encryption, it remains a practical and fun way to disguise sensitive text in a simple, open workflow.
