Pianissimo (PianissimoHost.exe). Pianissimo is a virtual grand piano that supports MIDI input.
Pianissimo is a highly advanced virtual grand piano designed for musicians who need professional-grade music playback and recording features. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pianist, Pianissimo supports both MIDI input and mouse controls, making it versatile for any music style. If you have a MIDI keyboard or another MIDI-compatible device, you can easily connect it to your computer and play the piano just like a real instrument. While the mouse can also be used to press keys, we recommend using a MIDI device for a more precise and seamless experience.
This virtual grand piano includes realistic pedal controls just like a traditional piano. The left pedal adjusts the intensity of the notes, while the right pedal sustains the notes for longer durations. Both pedals can be controlled through MIDI, adding to the authenticity of your playing experience. Pianissimo also comes equipped with customizable tools, including a metronome, a beat maker, hammer sound adjustments, and tone controls, allowing you to refine your music to perfection.
With the built-in recorder, Pianissimo lets you capture both left and right-hand inputs, so you can listen to and analyze your performance later. Any recordings you make can be saved as MIDI files for easy sharing or editing in other software. While Pianissimo is not intended for casual piano playing, it’s a must-have tool for serious musicians and music producers seeking high-quality sound and functionality in their practice and composition sessions.
