App Introduction

Notice: Chrome to Phone Service Has Been Discontinued

Chrome to Phone, originally launched in 2010, was designed to seamlessly bridge your desktop and phone experience by making it easy to send web links directly to your mobile device. Over time, Google’s core products have evolved and become more integrated across devices. As of now, Chrome to Phone is deprecated and will no longer be supported after May 31, 2016.

To continue enjoying similar features, here’s how you can use Google’s current offerings to replicate Chrome to Phone functionality:

Send links to your phone. Sign in to Chrome on both desktop and mobile to sync and access open tabs across your devices. Simply search for “send directions to my phone” in Google from your desktop or laptop, enter your destination, and select your mobile device. • Send text to your phone. Type “send a note to my phone” in Google on your desktop, input the desired message, and choose your mobile device.

Google Chrome to Phone allowed users to easily share links, maps, selected phone numbers, and texts between a computer using Chrome and a mobile device. To use similar features today, ensure that both your desktop and mobile devices are signed into your Google account, and explore Google’s integrated ecosystem for a more connected experience.
